education programITEP’s rigorous curriculum gives college students a powerful background within the foundations, practice and rules of social justice, along with expertise, and experiences in coverage formulation, program/challenge design and management, coaching program design, and intercultural studying. The Professional Expectations for prospective teachers required by the Department of Education at Montana State University include communication competencies, intellectual (conceptual, integrative, and quantitative) skills for drawback fixing and efficient instructing, and professional, behavioral, and social competencies related to the efficiency of a professional educator.

A few third of our present students are returned Peace Corps Volunteers or taught abroad via the JET (Japanese Trade and Teaching Program), Fulbright, World Teach or different packages. Reel Justice Works, a collaboration with the Vital Media Society and the Hip-Hop Education Center, hosts film screenings and demanding media literacy workshops that train college students easy methods to use visual media as a software for both social change and private improvement.

Portfolio requirements do fluctuate by program, so students should inquire with a program advisor for specifics. ITEP is a 36 credit hour program with a structured curriculum aligned with specific studying aims around key content areas in training, fairness and culture. Associate Professor Dr. Elizabeth Worden is a prolific researcher who focuses on publish-battle training, including education and transitional justice and international alternate.
